International Student Application

**IMPORTANT NOTE:The International Center is a separate department from the Office of Admissions. The International Center is not involved in admission decisions, nor do we evaluate foreign credentials, set academic entry requirements, or make decisions about assistantships or scholarship awards. Please contact the Office of Admissions or your prospective academic department for more information on these matters.**

The International Center’s responsibility during the Admissions process is to evaluate your available funding after you are admitted to FSU and to provide you with the required immigration documents for study in the United States. We will also provide you with information regarding pre-arrival and the visa application process.

Certificate of Financial Responsibility (CFR) form

Florida State University is required by U.S. federal regulations to verify the financial resources of each applicant prior to issuing the Certificate of Eligibility (Form I-20 for F-1 visa applicants or Form DS-2019 for J-1 visa applicants). In addition completing your application for admission to FSU, you must also complete the Certification of Financial Responsibility (CFR) form.
